This is a follow up recipe for the Chinese BBQ spice. If you haven't watch it yet, please take a look first, because we gonna use it in this dish. This onion and beef stir fry is even easier (it takes about 5 minutes). You don’t need to pre-season the meat because we use thinly shaved beef slices.

Ingredients
- 300g / 10.6 oz of thinly shaved beef meat
- 2-3 tbsp of oil
- 200g / 7 oz of sweet onion, sliced
- 1 small carrot, julienned
- 3 cloves of garlic, sliced thinly
- 2 scallions, cut into 2-inch stalks
-
1.5 tbsp of Chinese BBQ spice
- 1 tbsp of soy sauce
Directions
Turn the heat to high and preheat your saute pan thoroughly. That is how you prevent the meat from sticking to the pan.
- Drizzle in the oil and swirl it around. Add the beef and stir over high heat for a minute because the meat is thinly sliced and we don’t want to overcook it.
- Take the beef out and set it aside.
- If the pan looks dry, add another drizzle of oil along with some garlic slices, julienned carrot, and sweet onion slices. Keep cooking over medium heat until the onion is translucent.
- Introduce the beef into the pan, sprinkle 1.5 tbsp of BBQ spice evenly, and drizzle 1 tbsp of soy sauce. Keep mixing and toss until everything is well combined.
- Serve with white rice.
