General Tso’s Chicken

I have to be honest that this is not a dish that is wildly known in China. The story behind it is quite interesting. If you want to know, there is a documentary about it. The name is called Search for General Tsao. You can watch that later. Now you’re gonna stick with me and learn how to make this dish better than your local take out.

  • I made this for my wife a year or so ago, and we love it. Now for every special occasion this is what she wants me to cook. Absolutely Fantastic.

  • Have made this several times for my family. They say it’s better than takeout. Thank you for sharing! I bought your wok too.

  • This is an excellent recipe! I really appreciate the oil temperatures listed clearly. As well the tip for coating the chicken was great! I’ll use that again. I added a strip of orange peel when toasting the chillies. I enjoy a hint of orange with General Tso’s chicken. Also the coriander garnish was a big surprise for me but I went with it and it’s perfect!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!
